What’s Bill’s Grill Look Like?
After about three years online and a complete site overhaul in February 2006, I’m sure that people are wondering what Bill’s Grill looks like. Well, here’s the specifics:
I have a Turbo Select that I bought at Barbecue’s Galore in Spring 2004. I don’t think Barbecue’s Galore sells my model anymore; a search on their site only shows 5 burner Turbo Select models. Mine has 6 burners, plus a back burner for the rotisserie. It came with the rotisserie kit as well as a slide out tray for the propane bottle. The tray also measures the amount of propane in the bottle by measuring the weight. Pretty sweet. Now I never run out of propane in the middle of grilling.
Here are a couple of pictures of my barbeque. Click to see larger pictures (you must allow popups).
I also have a Char-Griller Super Pro Charcoal Grill with the side firebox for smoking. Although my Turbo Select has a smoker tray, it’s really too small for the barbeque. Besides, I also wanted a charcoal barbeque. It smokes great. And having two grills came in really handy at my last backyard barbeque party when I smoked 9 racks of baby back ribs, and cooked up sweet potatoes, green beans, chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs. As far as I’m concerned, you can never have too many barbeques and grills!
What’s BillCanGrill.com All About?
Like I said, I love to barbeque and my immediate family are the ones who get to try out all of my delicious backyard barbeque recipes. I know my friends love my grilling when I invite them over or I take it to them, but that doesn’t happen all that often. And I have family across the country that I know would like to try out my recipes. So I started BillCanGrill.com to share all my recipes with friends and family that can’t always be here.
I only add recipes that I’ve actually tried or created, not simply one that I’ve read and sounds good. I also include recipes from family and friends that they’ve created. Not every recipe is made on the barbeque, but, hey, there are lots of other things to serve at backyard barbeques, like beverages, dips and chips, salads and salsas. I try to take photos of the food I make so that you can see what it looks like. Click on the thumbnail on the recipe page to see a larger photo (you need to allow pop ups to view them). How BillCanGrill.com Got Started
Years ago, I saw a show on the Food Network called Yan Can Cook. I joked with my wife, "I should have my own show, Bill Can Grill." Since it’s highly unlikely that I’ll ever get my own cooking show, I did the next best thing; I bought the domain BillCanGrill.com. Now I can share my favorite delicious backyard barbeque recipes with everyone. If you like BillCanGrill.com, click the Share This link at the bottom of the page or any other post and submit it to your favorite social networking sites, post to your blog, or email your friends and tell them about BillCanGrill.com personally. Or leave a testimonial in the left sidebar, or write a comment for your favorite recipe.
So let’s get cookin’! ENJOY!!!
