Quick and easy pork chops, but quite tasty.
4 thick pork chops (¾ inch thick)
Fresh ground peppercorn medley
Extra-virgin olive oil
Granulated garlic
Barbeque sauce (use your favorite or try BCG’s Maple Mustard Barbeque Sauce or Crazy Cola Barbeque Sauce)
Rinse pork chops in cool water and pat dry. Brush lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle with ground peppercorn medley on both sides, less if you like less pepper, more if you like more. Sprinkle both sides with a little granulated garlic. Don’t go overboard with the garlic.
Grill over direct, medium hot coals/fire 12-15 minutes, turning once about halfway through the grilling time. (Reduce cooking time if you use thinner pork chops.) Approximately 5 minutes before removing from the grill brush, with barbeque sauce. After about 2-3 after applying barbeque sauce, turn chops and brush barbeque sauce on the other side. Let cook 2-3 minutes longer. Remove and serve.
Makes 4 servings.
