Great as a side dish or as dessert. The pepper gives the pineapple a snappy flavor.

1 fresh pineapple, skinned and cored
Fresh ground pepper
Sprinkle pepper on each side of the pineapple rings. Rings should be cut into rings of about ¼ to 3/8 inches.
Place rings on the grate. Grill about 10 minutes, turning halfway through the grilling time. You should have well defined gill marks on both sides. Remove from the grill and serve hot as a side dish. Or top with vanilla ice cream as a dessert.
